Trey Grine and Joey Simcoe took home top honors as the G-MAC announced its 2018-19 All Conference honors March 14.

Grine was named Wrestler of the Year after his National Runner-up finish at 149 pounds at the NCAA Championships. Grine finished with a record of 20-2 this season while appearing regularly in the national statistics in the Most Dominant category and the Technical Falls category. Grine won the Midwest Region Championship and was unbeaten in G-MAC competition.

Grine becomes only the second conference wrestler of the year honoree for Tiffin. Garrett Gray was GLIAC Wrestler of the Year in 2015-16. It is also his second all conference honor, and the first ever 149 pound regional champion for Tiffin.

Joey Simcoe was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Dragons to their highest national finish ever, placing 8th at nationals. He coached another national champion in Nick Mason at 197 pounds and the national runner-up in Grine. The Dragons were ranked as high as 11th in the nation during the season. This is Simcoe's second conference coach of the year honor, as he was also GLIAC Coach of the Year in 2016-17.

Besides Grine, two other Dragons were First Team selections. Nicholas Mason (197 pounds) won the NCAA Division II championship as well as the Midwest Region title and was also unbeaten in G-MAC competition. He posted a 27-7 record en route to Tiffin's second individual national champion honor. He was also the national Falls Leader, placing high in the national stat categories throughout the season. He is also the first ever 197 pound regional champion for Tiffin.

Hayden Bronne (184 pounds) also was First Team, earning a fifth place finish at regionals. He was unbeaten in G-MAC competition and finished 25-6 overall.

Two other Dragons landed Second Team honors. Richard Screptock (174 pounds) also finished 5th at regionals, compiling a 16-11 record. Giuseppe Penzone (125 pounds) also was recognized with all conference honors for the second time in his career, posting 8 wins on the season. Both wrestlers were 3-1 in G-MAC competition.
