Tiffin University enjoyed more success at the Storm Open, with Hayden Bronne winning one weight class and three other grapplers also placing.

Bronne (184) dominated his weight class, beating Clarion 12-4 and Michigan State 6-0 before posting back to back pins over Gannon in 39 seconds and Kent State for the title in 2:29.

Beau Minnick (157) also finished 2nd at the Open, outpointing Lake Erie 6-1, winning 7-3 and then falling in the title match 9-3 to Edinboro.

Also placing was Giuseppe Penzone (133) and Nick Mason (197), with both wrestlers finishing 6th. Penzone had a win by fall in 47 seconds over Gannon and a 16-3 win over teammate Rico Puente. Mason had two pin wins over Gannon (4:51) and Notre Dame (1:20).

Puente had a 5-4 win over Ashland, while Kian Thompson (174) also had a 4-2 win over Lake Erie.
