Tiffin University (6-9) suffered a major scoring drought midway through its GMAC Championship game with Walsh, leading to a 15-7 defeat.

The Dragons had jumped out to a 3-1 lead midway through the first half on the back of goals by Leah Davis, Jenny Bates, and Elle Hamilton. The Cavaliers, however, responded with an 11-0 run offensively that put the Dragons in a deep hole they were unable to climb out of.

Walsh rattled off seven of those goals before halftime, which they led 8-3.

Overall TU failed to score a goal for over 31 minutes, falling behind 12-3 before Daniela Carey scored to break the run. Carey and Hamilton both scored twice over the closing minutes, but it was not enough.

Overall TU was outshot 28-21 including a 16-7 deficit in the first half. Walsh also held a 32-15 ground ball edge.

Hamilton tallied 3 goals overall with 4 draw controls, 3 ground balls, and 3 caused turnovers. Carey had 2 goals with 5 draws, while Bates and Davis also had goals.

Jenay Rennie took the loss in goal, making 9 saves.
