A key battle for first place resulted in a sweep for Tiffin with Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week honors as announced on Tuesday.
The Dragons emerged on top of Findlay with a 13-12 win, a competitive matchup that featured the preseason coaches poll favorite Oilers trying to get the upper hand with both teams tied in the standings.
Tiffin now is in the driver's seat for the top seed, regular-season title and the hosting rights for the conference tournament, an impressive feat as a first-year league member.

Hamilton erupted for an eight-goal performance accounting for a huge percentage of the Tiffin offense in the Dragons' first-place win over Findlay.
It was tied for the second-highest single-game goal output for the current season around the league as Anna Spin (LEC) and Angelina Horan (D&E) each have had nine.
Hamilton was involved all over the field and made her biggest impact on the attacking end. She also had eight draw controls and two ground balls.
Hamilton is currently second in the league in total points with 71 and is tied for the conference lead in total goals with 62.
This represents her fourth conference offensive player of the week award for the 2019 season.

Morrison is becoming a regular establishing herself among the elite players in the conference as she racked up her third defensive player of the week honor.
Morrison, in the words of head coach Erica Brown, was a huge catalyst in the game against Findlay despite not having identifiable statistics in the box score.
Morrison scored once, had three ground balls and caused one turnover. She was able to body on attackers which in turn caused a ground ball battle for the TU defenders.
Her 1-v-1 defense was also lauded by Brown and her coach also remarked she was able to run out the clock at the end of the regulation.
