Tiffin University (2-2) hung with 17th ranked Mercyhurst early but a late first half surge by the Lakers eventually led to a 16-6 loss on the road.

Trailing 1-0 early, TU goals by Elle Hamilton and Leah Davis pushed the Dragons to a 2-1 advantage at the 20:16 mark.

With the score tied 3-3 at 17:12, Mercyhurst made its move, closing out the first half with a 4-0 run to take a 7-3 halftime lead.

The Lakers never looked back, opening the second half on a 5-2 run that gave them a 12-5 lead with 15 minutes remaining. TU managed just one more goal the rest of the way.

Overall Mercyhurst controlled the stats, outshooting TU 38-22 and winning the draws 16-8. They also held a 22-13 ground ball edge.

Tiffin had 15 turnovers in the contest and, though holding the Lakers to just 2 for 8 on free position shots, managed only one free position goal of their own on four attempts.

Hamilton led the team with 4 goals and 3 ground balls while Davis and Maddy Batley also had goals. Assists went to Amie Morrison, Batley, and Ashley Osbeck

Kat Schneeberger took the loss in goal, making 15 saves over 60 minutes.
