Tiffin University (2-1) and Slippery Rock hooked up in a tight defensive battle, but this time the Dragons could not get the necessary goals in the second half, falling on the road 7-4.

The Dragons, who never led, got all their scoring in the first half from Elle Hamilton, as she netted three goals to keep TU in it 3-3 at the half.

In the second half with the Rock ahead 5-3, Maddy Batley got a free position goal to bring TU to within 5-4 with 7:48 left in the game. The Dragons could not get off another shot over the rest of the game.

Overall 31 turnovers plagued the Dragons while they were also outshot 27-13. The Rock won the ground ball battle 26-23, including a 13-9 edge in the second half. Tiffin connected on just 2 of its 8 free position shots in the physical game, as the two teams combined for 71 total fouls.

Hamilton finished with 3 goals, 3 draws, and 6 ground balls, while Amie Morrison had an assist, 3 ground balls, and 2 caused turnovers. Rebecca Nolan had 4 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers, while Kat Schneeberger had 12 saves in taking the loss in goal.
