Tiffin University (2-0, ranked 25th in Division II) played its first road game of 2019, and it was a memorable one, as the Dragons knocked off 21st-ranked Lock Haven 8-5 behind another superb defensive effort.

Tiffin allowed only one first half goal and, other than a 6:30 stretch early in the second half, did not allow another goal to Lock Haven. They held LHU to 0-for-6 on free position shots and only allowed 11 of 22 shots on goal. They also won the draws 11-4, while winning the ground ball battle 17-13. Overall TU outshot Lock Haven 27-22, including 14-9 in the first half.

Tiffin opened with a 4-1 lead in the first half, as four different TU players scored. Amie Morrison, Leah Davis, Maddy Batley, and Elle Hamilton all scored.

Lock Haven didn't go quietly however, as they tallied three straight goals in the opening 6:30 of the second half to tie the score at 4-4.

Hamilton showed why she is one of the top players in Division II, though, as she scored all of the Dragons' remaining goals over a 11 minute stretch midway through the second  half to push their lead to 8-4 with 6:51 left and effectively end the contest.

Hamilton finished with 5 of the 8 goals along with an assist, while Batley also had an assist.

Kat Schneeberger got the win in goal, making 6 saves in 60 minutes.
