Tiffin University (5-3, 2-1 GLIAC) had a strong day at Northern Michigan, completing a long road trip weekend in style with a big 21-6 victory.
The Dragons opened by scoring the first 7 goals of the game over the first 8 minutes, with five different players scoring. They stayed ahead of NMU 6-4 for the rest of the half, taking a 13-6 advantage to halftime.
The game never got close after that, as TU shutout the Wildcats 8-0 in the second half. Again, the Dragons had a balanced attack, with six different players scoring the 8 goals.
The Dragons dominated with a 35-14 shot advantage while also holding the draws 19-10. They forced 20 NMU turnovers while holding a 16-11 ground ball advantage.
Elle Hamilton had 5 goals with 3 draws while Elle MacMillan had 4 goals and 3 ground balls. Amanda Flotteron also totaled 3 goals with 2 assists while Tiffany Anderson had a busy day with 3 goals, 5 ground balls, and 4 draws.
Maddy Batley kept TU rolling with 11 draw controls while also getting a goal and assist, while Amie Morrison had 2 goals and 2 assists and Maddy Anton had 2 goals. Leah Davis also had a goal while Ashley Osbeck and Regan Rich had assists.
Kat Schneeberger got the win in goal, making 3 saves over 50 minutes while Maeve Gatenbee finished off the final 10 minutes.
