Dragons beat CSP 15-9 for first GLIAC win

Tiffin University (4-3, 1-1 GLIAC) got their first GLIAC win of the season, travelling to Concordia St. Paul and playing a strong first half en route to a 15-9 victory.

The Dragons were on fire from the opening draw, scoring the first five goals of the game. Amanda Flotteron led the way, tallying three of the first five goals. The Dragons also played strong defense, allowing just two goals on the way to a 10-2 halftime lead.

Concordia St. Paul made a charge over the next 9 minutes. The Golden Bears tallied five straight goals to cut the Dragons' lead to just 10-7 with over 20 minutes to play.

The Dragons regrouped, however, retaking control of the draws to outscore CSP 5-1 over the next 16 minutes to put the game away.

Overall TU held a 36-26 shot edge and also controlled the draws 16-10. Tiffin's 17 turnovers kept the door open for the Bears.

Flotteron had a strong game with 6 goals and 2 assists while Elle Hamilton was also on fire, totaling 5 goals with 2 assists and 5 draw controls.

Maddy Batley had a goal with 3 ground balls, 3 caused turnovers, and 3 draws, while Tiffany Anderson also had a goal with 5 ground balls and 3 draws. Ashley Osbeck totaled a goal and 2 assists, while Elle MacMillan also had a goal. Amie Morrison added an assist.
