Elle Hamilton scored the game winning goal in overtime as the Dragons beat East Stroudsburg 12-11.

It only took two games for Tiffin University (1-1) to set a new benchmark for itself.

Tiffin battled back from a 5 goal defict in the first half and knocked off 8th ranked East Stroudsburg on the road for not only their first victory of 2018 but the biggest upset win in their history, winning 12-11 in overtime.

Things did not start out well for TU, as the Warriors jumped out to a 4-0 lead and took as large as a 6-1 lead in the first 10 minutes of play.

But the Dragons rallied, outscoring ESU 5-0 over the final 19 minutes of the first half to knot the score at 6-6 at halftime.

The two teams traded shots throughout the second half, with both teams claiming brief leads and stayed within a goal of each other throughout the final 30 minutes of regulation. Trailing 11-10 with 27 seconds left, Maddy Batley came through with a huge free position goal to send the game to overtime. Kat Schneeberger was huge in goal throughout the game, making 16 saves, none bigger than the save made on a shot with 1 second left in regulation to preserve the tie.

In overtime, TU controlled play, winning the initial draw control and firing two shots that missed the mark before Elle Hamilton took off and fired home the game winning goal with just 33 seconds remaining for the victory.

Hamilton totaled 5 goals on the day along with an assist, 5 draw controls, and 3 caused turnovers, while Elle MacMillan also had 3 goals with 5 draw controls.

Amanda Flotteron also had 2 goals and an assist, while Amie Morrison and Batley had a goal and assist apiece. Tiffany Anderson and Ashley Osbeck also had assists.

TU overcame 22 turnovers in the game for the win. They were also outshot 40-25, with Schneeberger coming up big time and again to keep TU close.
