Brittany Brownell enters her 9th season as Head Coach for women’s golf at Tiffin University in 2022-23.

Tiffin posted another strong season in 2022. Tiffin's top five golfers all made All GMAC selection. Lisa Marie SchumacherAmanda JohanssonMichaela LindahlJordan Van Meter, and Alexis Savage all earned honors. The Dragons qualified for the NCAA National Championships after finishing 3rd at the East Regional. They were runner-ups at the GMAC Championships, falling after a third tiebreaker to Findlay. Overall the Dragons posted the second-best team scoring average in school history, shooting 311.38. 

Tiffin Women’s Golf carried their momentum from the 2019-20 season, starting the 2020-21 campaign off with a first-place finish at the ODU Fall Invitational and later winning the SVSU Spring Invite. The Dragons reached a third consecutive NCAA DII East Regional, finishing fifth out of nine teams while also placing runner-up at the GMAC Championships. Brownell led four golfers to GMAC Championship honors including standout Alice Putoud who was named to the WGCA All-Region Team and became Tiffin's first-ever women's golfer to reach the NCAA Championships.

Brownell's team was off to another blazing start in 2019-20 before the Covid-19 pandemic ended their season prematurely. They had posted a 55-14 overall record with first-place finishes at Ohio Dominican, Davenport, and the Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff.

Brownell's squad qualified for the NCAA DII East Regional for the second-straight season in 2018-19, finishing fifth out of 12 teams and just missing an opportunity to compete at the DII National Championships. Tiffin was the runner-up at the GMAC Championships and earned three individual All-Conference honors, with Amanda Johansson as the Freshman of the Year along with Alice Putoud and Emily Koehler also receiving recognition.

Originally from Mississauga, Ontario, Brownell graduated from Northwood University in May of 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Business Management. She was a four-year All-GLIAC honoree in women’s golf, twice earning Second Team honors and All-Academic honors. She competed as an individual in the NCAA Division ll Super Regionals in 2012 and was GLIAC Athlete of the week in 2013.

Brownell received her MBA in Leadership from Tiffin University in 2016. She, her husband Rudy, and daughter Leah Mary J reside in Tiffin.
