Dragons complete first day of NCAA Championships

Tiffin University finished the first day of competition at the NCAA National Championships in 18th place.

The Dragons, competing at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia, shot 317 in the first round. Anderson led the field with 295 followed closely by Dallas Baptist with 296 and Lee with 297. In all, the top 10 teams were all within 10 strokes of the lead.

Tiffin's top four golfers were all within 3 strokes of each other, led by Amanda Johansson's 77. Lisa Marie Schumacher, Michaela Lindahl, and Jordan Van Meter all shot 80, while Alexis Savage finished with 82.

Play continues in round two on May 11.
