Dragons win Gannon Invite in rain shortened event

Tiffin University's women's golf team took home the trophy after finishing day one in first place in a rain-shortened event at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic hosted by Gannon University.
 
The Dragons led the 20 team field with a 319 score, while Gannon was 2nd with a 327 score. West Chester University and Walsh tied for 3rd place with a 328, while fifth place was shared by the University of Charleston and Ashland with a 333 score. 
 
Alice Putoud took medalist honors as she finished 1st overall in the field, shooting a 74. Amanda Johansson was the next best shooter for TU with an 80 score while Melissa Gabriele shot 82. Emily Koehler was right behind with 83, while Alexis Savage rounded out the field with 90.
 
The Dragons will next compete at the G-MAC Fall Invite at Hillsdale on Sept. 17-18.
