Dragons rise to 9th after second day of NCAA Regional

Tiffin University's women's golf team stayed consistent from round one to round two, rising two spots to finish 9th of 12 teams with one round left to play at the NCAA Super Region I competition at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Michigan.

The Dragons fell from 318 to 322 for 640 overall. Grand Valley State continued to lead the field with 581, while Indianapolis closed to 584 and Missouri-St. Louis was third with 613.

The best round of the day was from Staci Ludwig, the only TU player to shoot in the 70s. She shot 78 after firing a 76 in round one to total 154. Sarah Herb fell four strokes off her day one pace (76-80) for 156, while Alice Putoud held steady (81-80) for 161.

Rounding out the field for TU was Emily Koehler (85-84) with 169 and Melissa Gabriele (86-89) wiith 175.
