Dragons open play in 11th place

Tiffin University's women's golf team finished day one 11th of 12 teams at the NCAA Super Region 1 competition held at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Michigan.

The Dragons shot 318 overall, but were part of a number of teams all positioned close to one another. Only 9 strokes separated the Dragons from fifth place. Grand Valley State led the field with 289 while Indianapolis had 292 and Northern Michigan shot 301.

Sarah Herb and Staci Ludwig led the Dragons, both shooting rounds of 76. Alice Putoud was five off their pace with 81, while Emily Koehler had 85 and Melissa Gabriele had 86.
