Lady Dragons hold steady in 3rd place at GLIAC Championships

Tiffin University's women's golf team held steady on day two of the GLIAC Championships, with all but one golfer improving their scores as TU remained in third place heading into the final round April 22.

Grand Valley State led the way with 607 and were in a dogfight with Northern Michigan with 609, but the Dragons were also holding their own, posting a 629 score. They improved from 319 to 310 on day two.

Melissa Gabriele showed the biggest improvement, cutting 8 strokes (87-79) to finish with 166. She still brought up the rear of the pack for TU, which got its best showing from Alice Putoud. Putoud shot 73 on the day, 5 srokes better than day one for 151. Sarah Herb stayed the same with rounds of 79 (158), while Emily Koehler also held her own with rounds of 80-79 for 159. Staci Ludwig also cut three strokes (82-79) to total 161 through two rounds.
