TU falls to 6th on day two of Saginaw Valley Invite

Tiffin University could not duplicate its strong showing from round one, falling 17 strokes off their day one score in finishing 6th at the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational played at Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Kentucky.

The Dragons shot 313 on day one but fell off to 330 on day two for 643. Grand Valley State won with 578 while Saginaw Valley State was second with 635. Northwood and Walsh tied at 640, while Ashland had 641.

Sarah Herb had the most consistent tourney, shooting 79-80 for 159, while overall Alice Putoud led TU with 75-79 for 154. Melissa Gabriele was five strokes behind day one with 80-85 for 165, while Staci Ludwig shot 79-90 for 169. Emily Koehler was fifth for TU with 84-86 for 170.

Paige Lea also shot 187 as an individual.
