The Tiffin University women's golf team completed play in the Match Play portion of the GLIAC vs. G-MAC Showdown at the Saddlebrook Resort & Spa on Saturday March 10th.

The Lady Dragons finished third in the two-day Stroke Play portion of the showdown. Alice Putoud led the Dragons with a fifth place finish with scores of 82 and 74.

In Saturday's Match Play competition, Tiffin faced Grand Valley State University. Both teams were the best team for their respective conference during the two-day GLIAC vs. G-MAC Showdown Stroke Play competition. Tiffin's #1 faced the #1 from Grand Valley State University, with matchups continuing for the first seven players in both team's lineup. Even though competition was tough, with Grand Valley State University holding a national rankings of 7th, Tiffin University earned 2.5 points and Grand Valley State University earned 4.5.

Tiffin University wins came from Staci Ludwig and Emily Koehler. Sarah Herb gained the Dragons a half point as she halved her match with GVSU #3 Samantha Moss (Regionally ranked 13th) on the 18th hole. Staci Ludwig defeated #2 Olivia Reed (4&2) and Emily Koehler defeated GVSU's #5 Mackenzie Blomberg (Regionally ranked 25th) on the 14th hole (4&3).

The Lady Dragons will be travelling to Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Kentucky to play in the Saginaw Valley State University Spring Invite. The tournament will begin on Saturday March 17th.
