TU finishes 4th at Battle in Belmont

Only 6 strokes separated Tiffin University's five golfers but overall the Dragons could not match their scores in round one, as TU finished 4th of 8 teams at the Battle in Belmont.

Wayne State won the event with 634 while Northwood shot 639 and Lake Superior State finished with 641. The Dragons were right behind the Lakers with 645, falling from 321 in round one to 324 on day two.

Three Dragons tied for the team lead, with Emily Koehler having a tremendous second round. Koehler cut 12 strokes off her day one total, improving from 87 to 75 and posting the lowest TU score on day two. Her score of 162 tied Sarah Herb (81-81) and Alice Putoud (79-83). 

Melissa Gabriele, who led the team with 79 on day one, fell off to 85 in the second round to total 164, while Staci Ludwig also went from 82 to 86 to finish with 168.
