TIFFIN, Ohio - University of Findlay standout Anna Hintz scored 28 points on 11-17 shooting to go along with 10 rebounds for a double-double to lead the Oilers to an 89-69 victory over Tiffin women's basketball on Thursday evening to open G-MAC play.

With the loss, Tiffin falls to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

Annie Santucci had quite a game on the home side, draining a career-high six three-pointers en route to a 21-point, 6-rebound effort. Brooke Wesner was the only other Dragon in double figures with 10 points, while Jensen Hiegel dished out five assists.

Findlay had a pair of other players in double figures in scoring: Allie Thobe with 18 (8-10 from the free throw line) and Jenna Stegmaier with 14. Thobe flirted with a triple-double, recording eight rebounds and seven assists in the Oiler victory.

For the game, Findlay outshot Tiffin 55.0% to 38.5% from the floor and 53.5% to 33.3% from beyond the arc. The Dragons were also outrebounded 42-31, leading to a 36-24 advantage in the paint.

Allie Miller opened the scoring with a triple to give TU a 3-0 lead at the 8:49 mark of the first quarter, but the Dragons would not score again until a Wesner jumper connected at the 1:14 mark. However, the Oilers started relatively slowly as well, holding just a 13-5 advantage at that point. Wesner would add another triple before the end of the quarter, but Findlay knocked down a pair of buckets to go up 17-8 after one.

Tiffin woke up in the second quarter, opening the period on a 13-6 run to cut the deficit to 23-21 on another Miller three with 7:06 remaning in the half. Findlay was able to weather the storm, though, and push their lead back up to 40-27 heading into halftime.

The Oiler lead quickly extended up over 20 early in the second-half and nearly 30 at the end of the third quarter. Tiffin was able to outscore Findlay in the fourth, 22-15, but the Oilers cruised to the 89-69 victory.

It doesn't get any easier for the Dragons, as they host the team that was tied with Findlay atop the G-MAC Preseason Poll, the Hillsdale Chargers, on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
