Dragons Struggle From Field in 73-29 Loss

The Tiffin University women's basketball team had their struggles from the field on Saturday afternoon, connecting on only 12 of 55 field goal attempts in their 73-29 loss to Grand Valley State University.

The 1st quarter was a tough go for Tiffin, scoring only two points while allowing ten to the Lakers. Tiffin saw more success offensively in the 2nd quarter, but so did the Lakers as they outscored Tiffin 21-8. As the two teams headed to their respective locker rooms, it was Grand Valley State holding a 31-10 lead.

Tiffin had its best quarter offensively in the 3rd, scoring 13 points. The Lakers continued to hit from the paint and the perimeter, pouring in 42 2nd half points as they defeated Tiffin 73-29.

Annie Santucci compiled her first career double-double off the bench, scoring 12 points and snagging 11 boards.
