Yellow Jackets sting Dragons in pair of losses

Tiffin University (13-19, 2-4 GMAC) could not pick up a win against Cedarville, falling in two close games 3-2 and 3-0.

In the opener, TU was plagued by 7 errors leading to all 3 unearned runs in the game. After falling behind 1-0 in the first inning, TU came back to take the lead in the third inning with a pair of runs.

Bailey Hamilton opened with a walk and moved up on Caitlin Wilson's single. Taylor Whalen reached on a fielder's choice as Hamilton was thrown out at the plate, with Wilson and Whalen moving into scoring position in the process. Kirsten Georges then singled to drive them home and give TU a 2-1 lead.

More errors led to a tying run for Cedarville in the fourth inning and the go-ahead run in the sixth. TU could not get a runner on base over the final two innings.

Claire Feldkamp took the loss, tossing 7 innings and allowing just 4 hits with 10 strikeouts along with no earned runs and no walks.

In game two, the Dragons managed just one hit, a single by Kennedy Rorar

The Yellow Jackets got a run in the fourth and two more in the fifth. The Dragons managed to put four runners in scoring position over the course of the game but could not get any across the plate.
