Tiffin University (2-8) took on 17th-ranked St. Leo and came up just short in both games, falling in both by slim 3-2 decisions.

The Dragons nearly took the opener, coming within one strike of victory. Sarah Klein pitched 6.2 innings and allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits, ,6 walks, and 4 strikeouts, taking a 2-1 lead deep into the 7th inning before falling.

Klein pitched most of the contest holding a 2-1 lead, pitching out of a bases loaded jam in the 5th inning and stranding a runner at third in the 6th. In the 7th, she got to within one strike of victory with the bases loaded, but a fielder's choice to third base got the tying run across. A St. Leo single from the next batter gave TU the loss.

TU had taken the lead in the 2nd. Laura Teunion-Smith walked and was sacrificed to second. After Madie Legg reached on an error, Chloe Swaisgood doubled both runners in.

Tiffin also had chances in the 3rd and 4th. In the 3rd, TU had two runners on after Brooke Lambert and Teunion-Smith singled, but a strikeout left the runners stranded. In the 4th, Gabrielle Hess and Swaisgood both walked but a strikeout and a caught stealing ended TU's last good chance to score.

Swaisgood had the lone extra base hit with a double as TU managed 3 total hits.

In the nightcap, TU collected 4 hits, with Swaisgood getting two of them. St. Leo tallied three runs in the 2nd and held TU at bay all the way to the 7th inning.

Logan Bush and Swaisgood both singled to open the frame, while Hayley Kobie was hit by a pitch to load the bases with nobody out. An error on Haylie Miller's grounder to third let TU's first run in. After a popout to the pitcher and a strikeout, a catcher's throwing error let another run in to make it 3-2 with runners on second and third with two outs. TU could not capitalize, though, as a strikeout ended the game.

Victoria Edwards took the tough loss, pitching 6 innings and allowing 3 earned runs on 8 hits. Miller also had an RBI.
