Tiffin University lands numerous G-MAC softball honors

Tiffin University had five student-athletes selected as All G-MAC softball players, as the conference announced its All G-MAC selections as chosen by the conference coaches.

Chloe Swaisgood and Hayley Kobie were First Team picks, while Jamie Sevenish, Libby Crow, and Sarah Klein were Second Team selections.

Swaisgood, a sophomore second baseman from Fremont, Ohio, and Kobie, a junior designated player from Eden, New York, figured heavily in the Dragons' offensive attack.

Swaisgood batted .333 over 42 games and led the team in walks with 18. She tied for 4th in the conference in walks.

Kobie led the team in batting with a .394 mark and doubles with 11 while finishing second on the team with 26 RBI. Kobie led the G-MAC in hit by pitches and was 3rd in on-base percentage (.507) while also ranking 8th in batting.

Sevenish, a senior outfielder from New Albany, Ohio, batted .353 with a team best 33 runs scored, 53 hits, 21 stolen bases, and 3 triples. She placed 2nd in triples, 4th in stolen bases, and 8th in runs scored in the conference. This is her third All Conference honor, as she also earned two Honorable Mention marks in the GLIAC.

Crow, a senior outfielder from Findlay, Ohio, was second on the team with a .382 mark (13th in the G-MAC). She had 29 runs scored with a .504 slugging percentage (2nd on the team), tied for the team lead with 3 home runs, and had 20 RBI. She was also third in hits and second in stolen bases. This is also Crow's third All Conference citation (2 GLIAC Honorable Mention honors in the previous two seasons).

Klein, a freshman pitcher from Ashville, Ohio, had a standout debut season, posting a 15-9 record with 2 saves and a 2.39 ERA. She placed high in the G-MAC standings, finishing 3rd in wins and innings pitched while posting 5th in strikeouts and 8th in ERA.
