Dragons gear up for clash with Chargers

It will be a pivotal G-MAC showdown as teams position for playoff seeding, as Tiffin (21-12, 11-5 G-MAC, 4th place) plays host to Hillsdale (15-16, 9-3, 2nd place) at Paradiso Fields April 13.

The Dragons have been red hot lately, winning 8 of their last 10, while the Chargers have been equally as hot, taking 9 of their last 10. 

Overall the Chargers are batting .313 and are second in the G-MAC in doubles. They are 4th in runs per game (5.06) and 4th in ERA (3.16). They also come through when given opportunities, hitting .333 with runners in scoring position.

Amanda Marra leads the Chargers with a .394 average, followed by Katie Kish with .377, and Jessica Taylor with .349. On the mound Dana Weidinger has the best ERA with 3.03 but has some tough luck losses with a 4-7 record. Natalie Walters is also 8-5 with a comparable 3.27 ERA.

The Dragons seem to match up well with Hilldale. Overall TU is batting .322 and is 2nd in on base percentage with .394. TU also nearly matches Hillsdale with a .330 average with runners in scoring position, and is third overall in runs. They average 8.67 hits per game and are 3rd in runs per game (5.12). They also are 2nd in ERA with 3.01.

Four Dragons hitters have been on fire lately, with Libby Crow scorching the ball at a .433 clip. Hayley Kobie is hitting .395, while Jamie Sevenis is right behind at .393. Brooke Lambert is also hitting .350.

Sarah Klein is among the G-MAC's best pitchers, boasting a 2.02 ERA and a 12-6 record.
