Lambert And Three Others Receive GLIAC Accolades

The Tiffin University softball team had four student-athletes selected as All-GLIAC players on Friday, with Brooke Lambert being a 1st team selection. Pitcher Kimmy Reynolds was a 2nd team selection, and Libby Crow and Jamie Sevenish were Honorable Mention selections.

Lambert led the Dragons in hitting, setting career highs in batting average (.367), hits (55), runs (24), doubles (18), home runs (4), and RBIs (23). Brooke also paced Tiffin in the field, finishing with 78 putouts and 91 infield assists. In the GLIAC, Lambert led the conference in doubles, finished 8th in hits, and 9th in total bases.

Kimmy Reynolds was as advertised on the mound for Tiffin, posting a team high 12 wins on the hill. Reynolds led Tiffin in innings pitched, complete games (11), and strikeouts with 116. For her career, Reynolds has 42 wins, 517 innings pitched, 418 strikeouts, and a 2.32 earned run average. This is Reynolds' third All-GLIAC selection.

Libby Crow was a steady producer at the top of the lineup for Tiffin, posting a .319 batting average, 23 runs, 46 hits, 18 RBIs, and eight stolen bases. In her three years at Tiffin, Crow has 137 hits, 36 stolen bases, and is a career .316 hitter.

Jamie Sevenish was the straw that stirred the drink for Tiffin, posting 50 hits as the lead off batter for the Dragons. The junior scored 29 runs while slapping three doubles and two triples. Sevenish also led Tiffin in stolen bases with 24. Her 24 stolen bases tops the GLIAC. This is the second All-GLIAC selection for Sevenish.

After topping Purdue Northwest 12-1 in six innings, the Dragons will take on the top seeded Lakers of Grand Valley State later this afternoon.
