Tiffin University (17-12, 5-1 GLIAC) extended its winning streak to 11 games before falling late against Purdue Northwest, winning 3-1 and losing the nightcap 2-1.

In the opener, Kimmy Reynolds was sensational again, going the distance and allowing just 2 hits with 7 strikeouts over 7 innings. She did walk 4 batters, keeping the door open for the Pride, but each time they got close, she pitched out of danger.

Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the 6th inning, Sierra Besser-Paul singled and was sacrificed to second. Chloe Swaisgood then singled, driving home Besser-Paul to tie the game. April Bennett then pinch ran for Swaisgood and advanced to third on Amanda Rock's single. Ally Rock followed with a fielder's choice that scored Bennett. A double steal brought Rock home from third as TU opened up a 3-1 lead with three outs to go.

The Pride put a runner on in the top of the 7th, but Reynolds got three pop ups to end the contest.

Brooke Lambert had two hits for TU with a double.

TU came close to keeping the streak alive in the nightcap. The Dragons scored in the opening inning, as Lambert opened with a double and was sacrificed to third. Besser-Paul then got the run home on a sacrifice fly.

Tiffany Snell kept the Pride at bay over her 5 innings of work, allowing just 2 hits. Reliever Faith Bogard came in in the 6th inning to get the save, but was unable to keep PNU off the board. A two-out double brought home two runs as the Pride took a 2-1 lead.

TU could not manage a baserunner over the final two innings as the Dragons fell.

Bogard took the loss, allowing 2 earned runs on 3 hits over 2 innings of work. Lambert had 2 hits again, stroking another double for the game's only extra base hit. TU managed just three hits in the nightcap.
