Welcome home, Dragons.

Tiffin University (16-11, 4-0 GLIAC) played its first home games of the 2018 season and continued their hot streak, winning their 10th straight game with a 3-0 and 3-2 sweep of Ashland.

Tiffin, which has not lost since returning from their Florida spring trip, remain unbeaten in the GLIAC, with Kimmy Reynolds pitching brilliantly. Reynolds allowed only 2 hits over 7 innings with 6 strikeouts, not allowing a hit for 4.2 innings.

She got all the runs she would need in the 4th inning. Brooke Lambert doubled and came home on a Sierra Besser-Paul double to make it 1-0. Chloe Swaisgood then singled and Besser-Paul scampered home on a subsequent error at first base. Pinch runner Emily Williams then stole second and was sacrificed to second before coming home on Amanda Rock's single.

It was all over after that, as Reynolds proved untouchable. The Eagles helped out TU throughout the game by committing 5 errors.

In the nightcap, the trend continued as AU had 4 more errors. TU posted single runs in the 1st and 3rd innings. Alayna Lytle reached on an error at third base that moved her to second where, with two outs, Besser-Paul singled her home to make it 1-0.

In the third, Lambert singled, was sacrificed to second and then reached third on a wild pitch. Another error at third base allowed her to score for TU's second run.

Ashland slowly chipped away at starter Tiffany Snell, scratching across one run in the 5th and tying the game in the 6th. A two-out single pushed the tying run across and chased Snell, with Faith Bogard coming on in relief. With two runners on, she managed a ground out to third base to escape the jam.

In the bottom of the 7th, Lambert led off with a double, with a Besser-Paul single moving her to third. A wild pitch then allowed her to scamper home as the Dragons posted the walk-off victory.

Snell went 5.2 innings and allowed one earned run on 4 hits. Bogard got the win, fanning one over 1.1 innings of work.

Jamie Sevenish, Besser-Paul, and Lambert all had two hits apiece for TU.
