Dragons sweep St. Thomas, Kentucky Wesleyan

Tiffin University (3-8) bounced back nicely on day three of their Florida spring trip, defeating St. Thomas University 9-0 in 5 innings and Kentucky Wesleyan 10-3. TU has won three of their last four games.

In the opener, the Dragons took advantage of STU errors to tally 6 runs in the first inning and three more in the second. After reaching on a fielder's choice, Libby Crow then stole second and third base before scoring on Jamie Sevenish's single.

Michelle Poe singled and Samantha Ringwalt then walked to load the bases, and Lindsay Graves promptly followed with a run-scoring single. Sierra Besser-Paul then delivered the big shot, drilling a grand slam home run as TU jumped out to a 6-0 lead.

They continued the battery in the second inning, as Crow singled to start things off. Sevenish followed with a single, and both runners scored on Poe's single. After a walk toAlayna Lytle, Graves sacrifice play plated Poe for TU's final run of the game.

In the fourth inning, KWC followed a walk and a hit batter with two doubles to pick up three runs and pull to within 7-3.

The Dragons put the game away in the 6th inning. Sevenish and Crow singled and, with two outs, Allyson Rock doubled to drive in two runs. Lytle also doubled in the inning to drive in Tiffin's final run.
