Dragons open season with win at Findlay Invite

Tiffin University's men's cross country team got the 2020 season off to a good start with a win at the Findlay Invitational.

The Dragons led the way with 30 points, clipping Findlay's 40 and Malone's 50 point totals.

The Dragons placed five runners in the top 10, with Nathaniel Ondracek leading with a 2nd place finish in 26:16.41.

Jaylen Lasseter joined Dylan Hammond and Jaden Wimbush in making strong TU debuts, with Lasseter taking 3rd in 26:43.33, Hammond finishing 7th in 27:10.14, and Wimbush 8th in 27:12.77. Jordan Hill also placed 10th in 27:25.31.

Five more Dragons cracked the top 25, with Danny Sparks (13th in 27:52.39), Ryan Jansen (21st in 29:34.90), Charles Hollbrook (22nd in 29:40.06), Joe Oren (23rd in 30:01.81), and Chase Drange (25th in 30:29.92) giving TU solid depth.

The Dragons will next host the Tiffelberg Invitational on Oct. 2 at Seneca Hills Golf Course.
