Tiffin University and Heidelberg battled for the top spot at the Tiffelberg Invitational, with the Dragons coming up just short of the victory with a 2nd place finish.
The Berg totaled 27 points to edge out Tiffin's 35 points, with Hillsdale coming in third with 70.
Tiffin had three of the top five runners, as Nathaniel Ondracek was 3rd in 26:31.3. Jordan Hill was 4th in 27:06.4 and Josh Jaster was 5th in 27:09.4.
Two more Dragons landed in the top 12. Parker Wilson was 11th in 27:38.6 and Noah Sgambellone was 12th in 27:42.9.
Three other Dragons finished in the top 20. Nicholas Runco (27:55.9), Dustin Hardesty (27:59.0) and Zachary Keaton (28:23.7) all posted solid times in the 52-man field.
