For James Ngandu, the third time was the charm at the GLIAC Men's Cross Country Championships.

And it was the same charm he has experienced over the previous two seasons, as he posted his third consecutive GLIAC Championship at the race run at Northern Michigan, crossing the line first for the title.

Ngandu finished with a blazing time of 24:27.4, beating his nearest competitor by 13 seconds. With the standout performance, Ngandu was named GLIAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Year.

Overall TU finished 7th of 11 teams, with Grand Valley State winning with 20 points. Saginaw Valley State was next with 76, while TU totaled 197 points.

Stephen Korir was the next highest TU finisher, crossing the line in 35th place in 27:01.5. Josh Jaster was next in 27:48.3 for 55th place, while Trenton Yoder was right behind in 56th in 27:49.9. Chase Brentlinger was the fifth place runner for TU, posting a time of 29:10.5 for 79th place.
