Dragons finish 2nd at Disney Cross Country Classic

Tiffin University's James Ngandu did it again, leading the field at the Disney Cross Country Classic and helping TU's men finish 2nd overall.

TU placed runner-up in a field of 14 teams, trailing only Wingate's 71 points with 88 total. Ngandu won the race in a time of 24:21.3, and was followed by Stephen Korir in 8th place in a time of 26:37.3.

Josh Jaster and Trenton Yoder also placed in the top 50, with Jaster finishing 33rd (28:03.7) and Yoder taking 35th (28:07.6). Isaac Boateng crossed the line in 65th place.

The women, meanwhile, were 10th of 15 teams. Cleveland State won with 48, followed by Wingate with 78. Tiffin totaled 280 points.

Winny Chirchir led TU's runners in 93rd place with 21:16.6, while Alyse Dietz was right behind in 95th place in 21:17.3.

Other top finishers for TU included Ruthie Wyant (145th), Jordan Grzegorczy (149th), and Jada Gilliam (160th).
