Ngandu wins second straight GLIAC title

James Ngandu continued his recent success at cross country meets by picking up a win at the GLIAC Championships held on Saturday.  Ngandu led the Dragons with a 1st place finish and led all runners with a time of  24:14.5, about 15.5 seconds faster than the next runner in Zach Panning of Grand Valley St. who had a time of 24:30.3.  Ngandu also claimed the GLIAC Runner Of The Year honor due to his continued success and win streak this season.

Overall the Men's team finished 12th out of 14 teams at the GLIAC Championships.  Other top finishers for the Dragons were Adrian Perea-Adams in 101st with a time of 29:04.9, Nico Hudson in 102nd place with a time of 29:06.4 and Christopher McKown in 105th place with a time of 29:15.0.

The Women's Cross Country Team finished 15th out of 15 teams at the GLIAC Championships on Saturday.

Top finishers for the Dragons were Kaitlyn Mathews in 97th place with a time of 26:36.9, Sydney Schmidt in 99th place with a time of 26:43.5, Alyse Dietz in 105th place with a time of 27:04.1 and Jada Gilliam in 110th place with a time of 27:57.3.

The Dragons next meet will be November 5th at the NCAA Regionals in Evansville, Indiana.
