HILLSDALE/UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Tiffin men's track & field performed well at a pair of events on Friday, competing at both the Saginaw Valley Open and the Hillsdale Conference Crossover.
Automatic Qualifiers
- Jabari Bennett impressed in the shot put at Hillsdale, winning the event with a PR of 19.02 meters that moves him into second-place in TU history and is the fourth-best mark in GMAC history
Provisional Marks
- Cameron Burrows won the long jump at SVSU with a leap of 7.36 meters, also tied his own PR with the fourth-best mark in GMAC history in the event
- Errik Snell was second in the 60m Hurdles prelims at SVSU with a time of 8.09 seconds
- Nikolas Curtiss was second in the shot put at Hillsdale with a mark of 17.36 meters, Eric Jackson was third at 16.68 meters, and Isaiah Allen fourth at 16.63 meters
Additional Highlights
- Quincy Scott won the high jump at Hillsdale with a mark of 6.96 meters
- Alex Fee took third in the weight throw at Hillsdale with a heave of 17.12 meters, Jacob McPherson fifth with a throw of 16.59 meters
- Jaelin Williams took second in the triple jump at Hillsdale at 12.64 meters
- Collin Jasin was second in the pole vault at SVSU with a clearance of 4.75 meters
- Josh Jaster finished second in the 5000 meter run at SVSU with a PR of 15:07.27, moving him to seventh in TU history in the event
- Elijah Gauldin earned the top seed in the 60m prelims at SVSU with a time of 6.93 seconds
- Joshua Page was second in the 200m prelims at SVSU with a time of 21.96 seconds, Jonte Baker third with a time of 22.06 seconds
