Tiffin University completely dominated the 10 team field at the Tiffelberg Open, defeating runner-up Findlay 278-99.
The meet had 11 first place finishes for the Dragons along with 14 provisional marks. Three of those marks came from the standout shot put squad, with Nikolas Curtiss taking first withi a provo mark of 17.89 meters. Jabari Bennett also finished 2nd with a qualifying mark of 17.42, and Eric Jackson also hit the standard with a 4th place mark of 16.53.
Cameron Burrows won the high jump (provo mark of 2.12 meters), while Davis Bowers also hit the standard in winning the pole vault with 4.90 meters.
Two provo marks were hit in the long jump. Quincy Scott won with 7.47 meters while Burrows was right behind with 7.36. Wavell Hinds won the 110 hurdles in 14.42 seconds to hit another mark, and was joined by teammate Errik Snell (2nd in 14.43).
Three more qualifiers came in the hammer throw. Tristen Durr won with 64.76 meters, while Curtiss was 4th with 57.02 and Toryko Grace was 5th with 57.01. Tajarie Arthurton also hit the standard in winning the 200 meters in 21.24. The 4x100 relay squad of Arthurton, Jonte Baker, Zion Cross, and Elijah Gauldin also hit the provo mark in 40.48.
Other first place marks came from Stephen Korir in the steeplechase in 9:29.00, Quincy Scott in the 100 meters in 10.69, and Tyler Stuber in the triple jump with 13.63 meters.
Runner-up marks came from Snell (100 with 10.93), Baker (200 in 21.54), Grace (discus with 49.72), and Robert Taylor (triple jump with 13.41).
Other top marks came from Jordan Hill (3rd in 1500), Dorian Holida (3rd in long jump), Lamar Hargrove (3rd in 400), Collin Blochlinger (3rd in javelin), Wan'ya Williams (3rd in 100), Josh Jaster (3rd in 5000), Jaelin Williams (3rd in triple jump), Jackson (3rd in discus), Dylan Kendle (4th in javelin), Drew Hickman (4th in 800), Nathaneal Wilson (4th in 400 hurdles), Steven Mintz (4th in triple jump), Lovell Peterson (4th in discus), Collin Jasin (5th in pole vault), Matt Ryser (5th in shot put), and LaVauntez Hall (5th in triple jump).
