It was another memorable finish for the Tiffin University men's indoor track team, as they finished third overall while posting an individual championship.

The Dragons were just shy of another national championship, as Ashland won with 38 points. Adams State was right behind with 37, while Tiffin was next with 34. Grand Valley State placed just behind Tiffin with 33.25 points.

Jonte Baker was a large part of that finish for TU, as he won the National Championship in the 60 meters with a scorching 6.62 time. The mark beat Mobolade Ajomale of Academy of Art, who had 6.65. It was also just .01 second from matching his own school record, and garnered the Dragons 10 huge points.

Tiffin also got 11 combined points from their shot put crew. Jabara Bennett got All American honors with a third place mark of 18.55 meters (60-10.5), while Nikolas Curtiss was right behind in 4th place with 18.50 meters (60-8.5). Eric Jackson also competed, finishing 15th with 16.91.

Overall the Dragons got points from seven different athletes in six separate events. It marked the fourth year in a row that the Dragons finished in the top three or higher at the indoor national championships. After two national championships in 2016 and 2017, TU was second in 2018 and third this season.
