Dragons dominate field at Dragon Grand Prix

Tiffin University's men's track team finished tops out of 16 teams with 250.5 points at the Tiffin Grand Prix, hitting an automatic and 12 provisional marks along the way.
 
The Dragons were led by Nikolas Curtiss, who hit an automatic NCAA qualifying mark of 18.31 meters in the shot put to place second. Curtiss also placed 3rd in the weight throw with another provisional mark of 18.75 meters.
 
Jabari Bennett placed 3rd in the shot put with a provisional mark of 18.06m and was followed by Eric Jackson with another provisional mark (17.76m).  Kyle Stump was also amongst the leaders (15.95m) in shot put.
 
Toryko Grace won in the weight throw with a provisional mark of 20.23m followed by Tristen Durr, who placed 2nd and hit the provisional mark (18.98m).
 
Other provisional marks were hit by Davis Bowers in winning the pole vault (5.13m), and Collin Jasin finished 3rd, hitting another provisional (4.73m). Richard Vanboxel (4.58m) came in fourth in the event. 
 
Errik Snell hit an NCAA provisional mark with an 8.09 time in the 60 hurdles and Wavell Hinds finished 3rd with a provisional time of 8.21.
 
Lamar Hargrove also blasted across the line first in 6.75 seconds in the 60 meters for another provisional mark. Hargrove also placed 2nd in the 200 meters with 22.03. Jonte Baker crossed the line second in 6.76 in the 60 meters for another provisional mark. Tajarie Arthurton got 3rd and hit a provisional mark in the 60 meter dash with 6.82. He also won in the 200 meters, posting a time of 21.95.
 
TU got other first-place finishes from Drew Hickman in the 400 meters with 49.43, Jaelin Williams in the Triple Jump with a 13.04m leap, and Josh Jaster in the 3000 meters (9:00.88).
 
Quincy Scott finished runner up in the long jump (7.00m) and Chance Abbitt finished 2nd in the 400 meters (50.00). Isaac Boateng got 2nd place in the 800 meters run with 2:00.25. 
 
Third place finishes were by Terson Modeste (High Jump), and Dorian Holida (long jump). Tyler Stuber took third in Triple jump (12.84m) and he also placed 5th in long jump. 
 
Fourth place finishers were Brandon Lynn (400 meters), Zion Cross (200 meters), Steven Mintz (Triple Jump), and Elijah Gauldin in the 60 meters.
