2nd-ranked Dragons excel at Saginaw, Akron meets

Tiffin University competed at Saginaw, Michigan in a tri-meet with Northwood and Saginaw Valley State, while also sending competitors to the Akron Invitational.

A total of eight provisional marks were hit by the Dragons over the two events. At Saginaw, TU's shot putters took three of the top five spots, with all three hitting provisional marks. Nikolas Curtiss was 2nd with 17.65, while Eric Jackson was right behind with 16.69. Kyle Stump took 5th with a mark of 15.97 for the third provisional mark.

Mackenzi Rickman won the 60 hurdles with a provisional time of 8.21, while Toryko Grace hit the last provisional mark at Saginaw with a 2nd place finish in the weight throw with 18.44 meters.

Drew Hickman won the 400 meters in 48.78, while Michael King also won the 200 in 22.21. The 4x400 relay squad of Hickman, Brandon Lynn, Shaquille Hildreth, and Chance Abbitt also won in 3:17.51.

Nathaneal Wilson (60 hurdles in 8.68) and Abbitt (400 in 49.34) also posted second place finishes.

At Akron, Reginald Thomas came in second in the 60 meters in a blistering time of 6.71, hitting an automatic qualifying mark, while Jonte Baker was right behind in 3rd with a provisional mark of 6.74.

Lastly the DMR squad of Josh Jaster, Jalon Monigan, Nigel Carlton, and James Ngandu won their event with a provisional time of 10:01.93.
