HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Tiffin men's tennis continued the Spring Break slate with a match against Newberry College on Monday, falling 4-3.
Newberry swept the doubles matches to earn the first point, but Tiffin made a great effort in singles to nearly pull off the comeback win.
Hugo Chatras earned a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 4, and then both Michael Gurtner and Tom Blaquiere picked up three-set victories.
That was all that the Dragons would get, though, falling in the other three singles matches in straight sets.
Tiffin will next face Coker College tomorrow at 8:30 a.m.
