INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Tiffin men's tennis senior Sorin Navrotchi as the Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week.
Navrotchi helped the Dragons finish off an undefeated run through the regular season in conference action to become regular-season champions with a win over Davis & Elkins.
TU is the No. 1 seed going into the conference tournament in the four-team bracket and is also ranked No. 10 in the NCAA DII Midwest Region rankings.
Navrotchi defeated Alejandro Meseguer in straight sets at the No. 2 singles matchup, 6-3, 6-4.
He then helped the Dragons sweep the doubles point with a 6-0 win in No. 3 doubles with Hugo Chatras.
