Dragons Sweep Aside Yellow Jackets

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Tiffin men's tennis cruised to a 7-0 victory over Cedarville on Wednesday, only dropping one set in the whole match as they improve to 4-0 in the G-MAC.

Sorin Navrotchi and Hugo Chatras got the first win for the Dragons, taking a 6-2 victory at No. 3 doubles. Tiffin would earn the doubles point shortly after, as Nikita Parfenov and Toby Cutting won 6-3 in the No. 1 position. The duo of Tom Arias and Gabriel de Oliveira also pulled out a doubles win, coming out on top 6-3 at No. 2.

Cutting got the first Dragon win in singles, defeating his opponent 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4. Navrotchi quickly made it 3-0 TU as he took his No. 3 match 6-4, 6-2.

The win was sealed for Tiffin with the next result, as Santiago de la Rosa More won 6-4, 6-3 from the No. 1 position.

The Dragons would pick up three more singles victories before the match was over, as Parfenov (No. 2) won 7-6 (7-4), 6-2; Arias (No. 5) won 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6); and Mohamedali (No. 6) won 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.

Tiffin has two more regular season conference matches before the postseason begins, hosting Hillsdale on Saturday and travelling to Davis & Elkins on Apr. 19.
