Davenport pulls out close matches, down Dragons 7-2

Tiffin University (8-8, 1-1 GLIAC) could not pull out the close matches on the road against Davenport, falling 7-2.

The trend started early as Tiffin dropped two of its three doubles matches. Luis Ludena/Elio Lezama Perez fell in a 9-7 battle, while Nikita Parfenov/Sorin Navrotchi fell in an equally grueling match 8-6. The win came from Toby Cutting/Tom Arias 8-3.

In singles, Tiffin lost two three set matches while another loss came in a match with a tiebreak. Santiago de la Rosa Mora fell 3-6, 6-4, 6-2, while Parfenov also lost 6-4, 3-6, 7-6. Ludena fell at first singles 7-6, 6-4. The win for Tiffin in singles came from Arias, who pulled out a narrow 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 victory.

Cutting (6-3, 6-2) and Navrotchi (6-4, 6-1) fell in straight sets.
