Tiffin University's men's swim team competed against six other schools, finishing 4th with a number of standout finishes at the Malone Invitational.
Tiffin had 11 first place performances, including six from Jonah Sumfleth. Sumfleth posted individual wins in the 200 IM (1:55.78), the 50 freestyle (21.69), the 100 backstroke (52.27), and the 200 backstroke (1:57.31), while also winning two relays. He teamed with Yun Hung Tan, Christoph Hohenfeld, and Aubin Dulin to win the 200 medley relay in 1:36.60, and later teamed with the same swimmers to win the 200 free relay in 1:28.70.
Dulin had two individual wins. He posted victories in the 200 breaststroke (2:07.45) and the 100 breaststroke (59.18), while also placing 4th in the 200 IM in 2:00.92.
Nick De Robles grabbed wins in the 200 freestyle in 1:45.38 and the 200 butterfly in 1:56.75 while also placing 2nd in the 500 free in 4:49.93.
Tan had a win in the 100 butterfly in 51.92, a 2nd place mark in the 100 free in 48.45, and two third place finishes in the 200 free (1:46.58) and the 200 butterfly (1:59.84).
Other top marks went to Hohenfeld (2nd in 100 breaststroke in 59.35, 3rd in 50 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke) and Miguel Garcia (3rd in 200 backstroke, 4th in 50 butterfly).
