Miguel Garcia Arroyo and nine other Tiffin University swimmers and divers made a splash in the All G-MAC honors.
Garcia capped off his brilliant season with Swim Athlete of the Year and Freshman of the Year, as the G-MAC announced its annual honors.
Garcia Arroyo was dominant in the pool during his first conference championships appearance, winning four individual events and one relay race. He also broke meet records in his first attempt in the 200 IM and 400 IM.
He had also won athlete of the meet and freshman of the meet awards at the conference championships, making it an individual sweep for the standout Dragon from Seville, Spain.
Led by Garcia Arroyo and NCAA diving qualifier Nicholas Jefferson, Tiffin had six make the first-team list. Nick De Robles, Christoph Hohenfeld, Jonah Sumfleth, and Yun Hung Tan were also First Team picks.
Nick Jefferson won in the 3-meter dive, posting a meet record 454.40 points and Nick De Robles also won in the 1000 free in 9:34.26. The Dragons won in the 400 Yard Medley Relay, as the team of Christoph Hohenfeld, Sumfleth, Tan, and De Robles posted a time of 3:22.81. Nick Jefferson won another title in the 1-meter dive, posting 428.25 points and Nick De Robles also won in the 500 free in 4:35.54. Jonah Sumfleth also brought another win in the 100 backstroke in a meet record time of 1:42.29. while Christoph Hohenfeld won in 100 Breaststroke in 56.61, setting another meet record. Tiffin University's men's swim team picked up three more victories on the final day. Nick De Robles won in the 1650 free in 16:16.68. Jonah Sumfleth also brought another win in the 100 free in a meet record time of 45.98. The Dragons continued their strong performances by winning in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, as the team of Nick De Robles, Miguel Garcia, Jonah Sumfleth, and Yun Hung Tan posted a meet record of 3:05.29.
The Dragons also had four Second Team selections, with Aubin Dulin, Matthew Laporte, Seth Tessmer, and Nathan Marr all earning the honor.
