The Tiffin University men's soccer team lost 3-2 to conference foe Ohio Valley.
The Dragons outshot their opponent 13-9 but Ohio Valley had more shots on net with seven on net compared to the Dragons' five.
The Dragons started off strong, scoring in the first five minutes of play with a goal from Joel Daly on a nice cross from Pero Mikulic.
The Fighting Scots equalized 23 minutes later on a throw in from Javier Martin scored by Juan Hoyos who slotted it into the back of the net. Ohio Valley continued to high press the Dragons which caused a loose ball in the box and the Scots were able to draw a foul giving the visitors a penalty kick that they converted to lead 2-1.
Tiffin came out in the second half energized, holding possession of the ball more and that offensive pressure yielded a goal off a throw in from Joel Daly to Caleb Gibbons to tie the game at 2-2.
Sloppy discipline by both teams saw each team receiving a red card - Ohio Valley in the 66th minute and Tiffin in the 78th minute. With both teams down to ten men neither was able to find the back of the net in regulation to force overtime.
Not much between the two sides in the first overtime with each team getting off one shot, but Ohio Valley got a goal in the 103rd minute off a throw in to grab the 3-2 win.
