Tiffin has definitely made a name for themselves across collegiate soccer, as the Dragons have been invited to participate in the Columbus Crew SC 2020 Spring College League along with seven NCAA Division I programs.
Tiffin, the lone non-DI member in the league, will play in the North Division against Bowling Green, Cleveland State, and Ohio State. The South Division is made up of Cincinnati, Dayton, Marshall, and Northern Kentucky.
Each team will play the other three teams in their division once during March and early April, followed by a Finals to be held on April 19 at the home of the Crew, MAPFRE Stadium, that pits the programs against the corresponding team from the other division based on final standings.
The highlight of the schedule for the Dragons will be on April 4 when Tiffin welcomes Ohio State for a home match. TU also travels to Cleveland State on March 21 and Bowling Green on April 10. Start times for each match are yet to be determined.
In addition to the four games as a part of the league, the Dragons will also play a fifth spring contest at Indianapolis on March 28. The match with the Greyhounds is sure to be a great test as well, as UIndy reached the DII Final Four last season.
Tiffin finished the 2019 regular season with an 11-5-5 overall record before defeating #4 Lake Erie and Cedarville to in the conference postseason to win their second consecutive GMAC Tournament Championship, also advancing to the Second Round of the NCAA DII Championships for the second year in a row.
