Tiffin University has been selected as the sixth seed in the Super Region 3 regional, the fifth time in the last seven seasons that the Dragons have been selected.

A strong finish to the Dragons season at the GMAC Tournament helped solidify the seed in the NCAA postseason, which will feature 40 teams. The Dragons qualified for NCAA postseason play in both 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2018.

The Dragons (11-4-5) will play 3rd-seed Maryville (15-3-2) on the road in a second round contest Nov. 24 at 1 pm EST. In the other regional contests, 4th-seed McKendree (15-3-2) will host Ohio Valley (12-5-2) in another second round matchup. Lake Erie (18-2) landed the top seed and will play the winner of Fort Hays State (13-5-2) and Indianapolis (12-5-1), while 2nd-seed Bellarmine (16-0-4) will play the winner of 7th-seed Cedarville (12-3-6) and Wisconsin-Parkside (13-5-2).

Ten teams were selected from each of the four super regions. Teams from the same region will be paired for first- and/or second-round competition, which will be conducted Nov. 21-24 on campus sites. Third-round/quarterfinals will be held on campus sites and completed by Dec. 5-8. The semifinals and final will be played Dec. 12 and 14 at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania hosted by Slippery Rock University and SportsPITTSBURGH.

The Dragons entered the GMAC tourney as the fourth seed but posted tough wins over 4th ranked Lake Erie 2-1 in double overtime before securing the championship with a gritty 1-0 win over Cedarville. For the Dragons, it continued a dominant run in which they have allowed only three total shots on goal over the last 195 minutes of action.

The Dragons week was also highlighted by the selection of three players to the All GMAC team. Leo HasenstabJoel Daly, and Odun Obebe landed All Conference honors for Tiffin. Hasenstab and Daly were First Team selections at forward and defender, respectively, while Obebe was an Honorable Mention pick.

Hasenstab was second in the GMAC in both goals and points, totaling 13 goals and 28 points. He led a TU attack that scored the second most goals in the GMAC with 38 goals. Daly and Obebe led a defense that had the second lowest GAA in the conference with 0.73. They have allowed only 15 goals all season.

"This is another great opportunity for our guys to compete at another national tournament and we are looking forward to taking on a very good Maryville team," said Head Coach Rudy Brownell. "Tournament time is always about surviving and advancing and we hope to get a run going and see what happens."
