Tiffin University won its second consecutive GMAC Tournament championship.

Entering as the fourth seed did not faze Tiffin University (11-4-5), as the Dragons completed their mission of winning the GMAC Tournament Championship for the second straight year with a gritty 1-0 win over Cedarville.

The Dragons played a sensational defensive game, allowing no shots on goal over the entire 90 minutes in the shutout. The win gives Tiffin an automatic berth in the Super Region 3 Regional, where they currently are ranked 7th and could move up with the victory. Seedings will be announced during the NCAA Selection Show on Nov. 18.

Tiffin got the only goal it would need when Caleb Gibbons took a pass from Abdoul Magid Sy in the 21st minute and knocked it home to give TU a 1-0 halftime edge.

Tiffin's defense took over from there, putting up a wall that kept goalkeeper Dylan Morris from making a save in the game. Overall Cedarville outshot TU 10-8, but TU had 4 shots on goal to the Yellow Jacket's 0. Cedarville also held a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.

The loss also avenged an earlier season 2-1 loss to Cedarville. For the Dragons, it continued a dominant run in which they have allowed only three total shots on goal over the last 195 minutes of action.
