Dragons battle for GMAC tourney seeding with pair of games

Tiffin University (7-4-3, 5-4-2 GMAC) will battle Walsh (9-4-2, 5-4-2) and Malone (4-5-4, 3-5-3) on the road in conference games critical for tournament seeding.

The Dragons are currently tied with Walsh and Cedarville for third in the GMAC, though the Dragons have lost to Cedarville this season 2-1. Malone sits 8th in the standings. The pair of road games will have an impact on where the Dragons sit heading into the regular season's final week.

Walsh has went 2-1-1 over the last two weeks, posting wins over Trevecca Nazarene 4-0 and Cedarville 2-1. They fell to Ohio Dominican 2-0 and tied Kentucky Wesleyan 2-2.

Overall the Cavaliers are 4th in scoring with 32 goals. Dwight Van Dyke is second in the GMAC in points per game and has 7 goals with an assist for 15 points. Myles Cornwall gives Walsh a solid 1-2 punch with 6 goals and a conference-leading 7 assists for 19 points (2nd in overall points). Peyton Barnes (3 goals, 2 assists) and Nathan Kett (3 goals, 1 assist) round out the attack, while Ethan Burawa is in the nets with a 1.57 GAA and 57 saves.

Malone has also been solid in the last two weeks, going 2-0-2. They defeated Trevecca Nazarene 3-1 and Kentucky Wesleyan 4-0, while tying Cedarville 1-1 and Ohio Dominican 2-2.

Nathan McFeaters is amongst GMAC goal leaders with 10 along with an assist for 21 points, while Patrick Alvarez has 3 goals and an assist and Patrick Brightbill has 2 goals and 2 assists. Alexandre Durand is the top goalkeeper with a 0.98 GAA and 39 saves.

Tiffin has went through its toughest stretch of the season, going 0-3-1 over the last two weeks facing the top teams in the conference. They fell to Cedarville 2-1 and Alderson Broaddus 1-0 before tying Ohio Valley 2-2. In their last outing against 7th ranked Lake Erie, the Dragons fell 1-0 despite once again outshooting the Storm 17-7.

Leo Hasenstab leads the attack with 9 goals and an assist, while Darren Appanah has 5 goals and 2 assists. Eduardo Carvalho (3 goals, 3 assists), Joel Daly (3 goals, 2 assists), and Caleb Gibbons (2 goals, 2 assists) also join in the offensive assault. Dylan Morris continues to shine in the nets with a 0.68 GAA and 37 saves.
